Repeat Prescription Requests
If you are able to order your repeat prescriptions online then that will save you time and leave the phones open for handing other calls. The alternatives are:
- Use the NHS app or online access
- Telephone the practice between 10am and 12.00 noon -We will currently accept telephone ordering of prescriptions – Please make sure you have your list of medications that you need to order ready before you call. Our phone lines are currently very busy so please bear with us. We will answer your call as quickly as we can.
- If you are not able to do any of the above then post your prescription request in the post box at the end of the corridor approaching the surgery. Pleaae do not go to the reception desk.
Advice on Prescriptions
- Please can you nominate a pharmacy to which we can send electronic prescriptions. If you do not already have an existing nominated pharmacy, when you order your next prescription, please let us know where you would like this sent.
- Please avoid phoning the surgery to enquire if your medication is ready or if it is being delivered, only the pharmacy can answer this question, as this stops patients, who require medical assistance, getting through
- Delivery of medications is currently available for vulnerable patients. We are currently working with the local pharmacies to increase capacity of deliveries. If you have relatives or friends who can collect, and are fit and not in the vulnerable group, then please ask for their help
